Zoom has released AI Companion 3.0, the latest version of its AI assistant designed to help users go from conversation to completion by turning meeting discussions, chats, and documents into actionable summaries, follow-up tasks, drafts, and insights. The update introduces a browser-based interface and agentic workflows that automate multi-step work like task creation, document drafting, and research across Zoom and connected apps such as Google Drive and OneDrive, with more integrations planned. Zoom uses a federated AI approachthat blends its own models with third-party and open-source models for better accuracy and performance, and select features are now available to free Basic users while full capabilities are offered via subscription or add-on. AI Companion 3.0 also includes personal workflows in beta and tools like daily reflection reports to help prioritize work and boost productivity.
