Qantas is establishing a new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide’s CBD, South Australia, supported by the state government and University of Adelaide. It will open in March 2026 and house more than 420 tech roles over three years, including product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and AI specialists. The centre is meant to bring critical innovation in-house to enhance the customer experience across Qantas’s journey — covering better app features, seamless check-in, smarter baggage tracking and AI-powered support when travel goes off plan. The initiative also includes graduate recruitment pathways to tap into local talent, positioning Adelaide as a tech hub for the carrier’s digital transformation
