Google announced new holiday-2025 shopping features that tap AI to ease the buying process. In the revamped Search “AI Mode” you can describe what you’re looking for in plain language, and receive rich visuals, pricing, reviews, and inventory info drawn from their Shopping Graph of over 50 billion listings. You can use the Gemini app (in the U.S. for now) to chat your way from gift-ideas through purchase options, comparison tables, price info and links to buy. They also introduced “agentic checkout,” which lets Google track a specific item (size, color, budget) and when it drops to your target price Google can purchase it via Google Pay for you (with your approval). Finally, there’s a “Let Google Call” feature in Search for local stores: it uses AI and Duplex tech to call nearby stores, check stock and price, and send you a summary. Overall the update brings more automation into shopping so you spend less time hunting and more time browsing confidently.
