Booking Holdings executive Rob Ransom said the company is entering a new phase of AI-driven travel focused on helping travelers plan and book complete trips rather than just individual components. Speaking ahead of the Phocuswright Conference 2025, he explained that Booking wants to combine accommodations, flights, attractions, and ground transport into more connected, end‑to‑end experiences powered by generative AI. The company is testing AI tools that can understand traveler intent, personalize recommendations, and handle more complex planning tasks while still keeping humans in the loop. Ransom emphasized that trust, transparency, and accuracy are critical as AI takes on a larger role in travel decisions. He also noted that competition from big tech and new startups is intensifying, pushing Booking to move faster while leveraging its scale, data, and long‑standing relationships with travel partners.
