Google TV is adding three new Gemini features meant to make the TV screen more useful for quick answers and casual learning. The first is richer visual help, so questions about things like sports, recipes, movies, or dinner ideas can return a mix of live scorecards, where-to-watch info, videos, and text instead of just a basic reply. The second is “deep dives,” which are narrated visual explainers on topics such as health, economics, and technology, with follow-up prompts that make them feel more interactive. The third is sports briefs, which expand the existing brief format into short narrated updates for leagues like the NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, NWSL, and NCAA basketball. The rollout starts on Gemini-enabled devices in the U.S. and Canada, with broader device and country support coming later.
